sixteen3 Limited recognises that it can contribute towards the conservation and protection of the environment through consideration in its business practices. It will promote awareness of environmental responsibilities among its employees through its Policy aims and objectives.
Policy Aims
The aims of the Company’s Environmental Policy are:
- To improve awareness and understanding of environmental issues within the Company.
- To encourage all employees to be active participants in environmental improvement initiatives.
- To improve the way the Company manages its own environmental issues.
- To promote ecological awareness and opportunities which affect the business.
Policy Objectives
The objectives of the Company’s Environmental Policy are:
- To promote the conservation of resources through efficient production techniques.
- To provide training to ensure that employees are aware of environmental matters within the Company.
- To provide awareness in power and resource savings throughout the operation of the Company’s business.
- To encourage employee suggestions in ways to improve practices that will make savings which will impact positively on the environment.
Environmental Management
a) Energy and Water
The management will encourage employees:
- To conserve energy in respect to heating, air conditioning, lighting and ensure efficient use of computers, other office equipment and all production machinery and equipment.
- To conserve water where appropriate.
b) Waste Management
The management will encourage employees:
- To reduce waste to a minimum.
- To implement a recycling policy for waste that is able to be recycled.
- To provide a means for the collection of all waste products that can be recycled.
- To use the current best practice for handling hazardous waste.
